I am an Associate Professor in Literature and Creative Writing at Oxford University's Department for Continuing Education, a Fellow of Kellogg College, Oxford, and the author of 'American Literature and Irish Culture, 1910-55: the politics of enchantment' (MUP, 2013; reissued in paperback 2017). Poem for Burns night
My brother alterted me to this wonderful poem written by a creative writing student, Lorna Wallace, at the University of Strathclyde: a modern parody of selfies, drinking and shattered egos in the spirit of Robbie Burns.
